Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.
Atlassian's partner ecosystem is how we scale customer value, GTM execution, and long-term growth. The Field Partner Operations (FPO) team sits within Partner & Alliances and exists to turn partner strategy into field execution — embedding directly with regional leadership to drive planning, business reviews, and operational rigor.
This role leads the FPO Manager team. You'll build, coach, and scale a group of embedded operators who each partner with a Geo Leader to drive planning, performance, and cross-functional coordination across their region.
We're data-driven, AI-first, high-empathy, and deeply collaborative. We do serious work and don't take ourselves too seriously doing it.
You'll collaborate with Field and Business Leaders to set prioritization for the FPO function and ensure your direct reports have the clarity, tools, and support to drive outcomes in their geography. Your job: find what works in the field, standardize it, and scale it.
Define the FPO operating model, standards, and vision — translate strategy into action the team can execute consistently.
Hire, coach, and develop FPO Managers. Hold a high bar for performance, make tough calls, and build a culture rooted in empathy, collaboration, and humor.
Set team objectives, KR plans, and resource priorities. Efficiently manage multiple workstreams and make clear decisions on timing and trade-offs.
Build and improve shared playbooks, templates, and operating rhythms — drawing from regional best practices and scaling what works.
Champion an AI-first mindset: find opportunities to use AI and automation to accelerate planning, reporting, and analysis.
Create cross-geo forums for FPO Managers to share patterns, solve common problems, and feed field insights back into global methodology.
Use data to surface trends, coverage gaps, risks, and opportunities that inform leadership decisions.
Foster psychological safety and proactively address factors that contribute to attrition.
Strong people leadership, operational expertise, cross-functional influence — plus high empathy, a data-driven mindset, and genuine enthusiasm for AI.
8+ years in partner ops, GTM ops, sales strategy & ops, or business ops in enterprise SaaS.
3+ years managing senior operational or strategy professionals. Able to make tough performance calls and guide managers through complex people situations.
Turns ambiguity into structure — builds operating models, team priorities, and measurable outcomes from unclear strategic goals. Decides in ambiguity.
Builds team culture on empathy, psychological safety, and collaboration. Accurately identifies strengths and growth areas; coaches accordingly.
Data-driven by default — defaults to evidence, builds that expectation into the team, and influences stakeholders through facts.
Genuinely curious about AI and automation; biased toward tools that make the team faster.
Influences without authority across senior stakeholders. High visibility and positive relationships within key stakeholder groups.
Clear, concise communicator — clarifies messages, drives alignment, and champions decisions even without full agreement.
