Responsibilities
Lead the architectural vision and technical strategy for the Rovo FE team, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver innovative features such as customizable user settings, skill discoverability, and multi-modal chat experiences.
Drive the implementation of advanced UI/UX patterns, including context bars, mini-modals, voice mode, and polished animations/transitions.
Champion best practices in frontend engineering, code quality, testing, and accessibility.
Mentor and guide engineers across the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Analyze user feedback and data to prioritize improvements and inform product direction.
Contribute to cross-team initiatives, including platformization efforts and alignment with Atlassian’s AI component libraries.
Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and advocate for their adoption where they add value.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact web applications at scale.
Deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred), TypeScript, and state management patterns.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
Experience architecting large-scale frontend systems and leading technical direction for teams.
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence product strategy.
Passion for mentoring and developing engineers at all levels.
Experience with performance optimization, analytics, and data-driven product iteration.
Familiarity with AI-driven interfaces, chat systems, or productivity tools is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable,
and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than
that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline.
Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges
for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $206,100 - $269,075
Zone B: $186,300 - $243,225
Zone C: $171,900 - $224,425
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
