Overview

Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

This role includes overseeing some in-person events in our Seattle or San Francisco offices and requires you to be based near one of these hubs.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a results-oriented Program Manager to drive execution across multiple initiatives that support new engineering hires. You’ll work on programs such as in-person onboarding, interns and grads program, and other initiatives that run year-round. These programs are highly operational, and we’re looking for someone who can take ownership, scale them effectively, and ensure they run smoothly, including facilitating some in-person events that not only set new hires up for success but also help build community and connection from day one.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong program management skills, attention to detail, and a passion for making processes more efficient and impactful. Success in this role means keeping programs on track, aligning stakeholders, and helping Atlassian deliver a best-in-class experience for interns, grads, and new engineering hires.

What you'll do

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of business-critical programs, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align on program goals, track execution, and drive change management

  • Collect, analyze, and report program performance data to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement

  • Develop clear communications, updates, and materials to keep stakeholders informed and aligned

  • Support rollout of repeatable processes, playbooks, and frameworks that make operations more efficient

  • Anticipate and surface blockers early, collaborating with stakeholders to drive resolution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, or business planning roles

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to track progress, analyze program data, and present clear, actionable insights

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to keep diverse groups aligned and moving forward

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to business-driven changes.
