Lead the architecture for cloud-agnostic and self-hosted storage and search infrastructure in the encryption space.
Design and build Kubernetes-native services that meet the evolving needs of Atlassian’s cloud and on-prem customers.
Drive technical direction for a critical pillar, collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders across the company.
Mentor and influence engineering teams, setting standards for security, scalability, and operational excellence.
14+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices (Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang, etc.).
Proven track record in large-scale web software and transformational architecture projects.
Experience with Kubernetes-native architectures and cloud-agnostic design patterns.
Ability to provide clarity and direction in ambiguous environments, and drive long-term product planning.
Strong leadership in cross-team technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineers.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $239,400 - $312,550
Zone B: $216,000 - $282,000
Zone C: $198,900 - $259,675
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
