The Central AI team’s vision is to accelerate AI innovation across Atlassian by building the core infrastructure, key capabilities, and experiences. The Central AI team is building foundational AI experiences, especially in the conversational AI space, leveraging Atlassian’s unique understanding of our customers’ work and the connections between their tools. We are in the early stages of developing these experiences, with a strong focus on exploration, experimentation, and customer research to identify the right solutions for our customers’ needs. As the Principal Product Manager for this area, you will initially focus on ‘building the right thing’—identifying and validating the key experiences that solve real customer problems. You’ll then shift to ensuring these solutions are scalable, polished, and well-integrated into Atlassian’s broader product portfolio, and successfully brought to market.

Responsibilities What you’ll do
Drive third-party integration strategy by shaping the vision and roadmap for integrating external platforms and data sources, enabling customers to connect their favorite tools and services with Atlassian’s AI-powered experiences.
Enable seamless data connectivity by overseeing the development and enhancement of connectors that securely and reliably bring third-party content into Atlassian products, ensuring a unified and valuable customer experience.
Champion security and privacy by advocating for best practices in data security, privacy, and access controls across all third-party integrations.
Promote customer adoption by simplifying connector setup and management to drive adoption and engagement, making it easy for customers to leverage external data within Atlassian’s ecosystem.
Monitor and optimize performance by ensuring connector health, reliability, and scalability, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve integration quality and customer satisfaction.
Take existing and new ideas for AI-powered experiences, develop them further, and validate problem-solution fit through exploration, experimentation, and direct customer engagement.
Move quickly to test hypotheses, working closely with design, engineering, and customers to capture insights and market signals that inform product direction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on go-to-market, pricing, packaging, and customer support to successfully launch new offerings.
Build strong relationships with Product Managers and teams across Atlassian to identify opportunities for collaboration and accelerate the delivery of new AI experiences.
Qualifications
Your background:
8+ years of Product Management experience. You have strong recent experience in shipping AI products with heavy UX focus in the Enterprise SaaS space. Experience of shipping conversational AI products would be a huge plus.
You have a deep commitment to user experience and delight, with an strong understanding of what exceptional UX entails. You are able to demonstrate this through the products you have shipped in the AI space.
Demonstrated ability to define and execute integration strategies that connect external platforms and data sources to core product experiences, driving customer value and adoption.
Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance best practices, especially as they relate to third-party integrations and enterprise environments.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical solutions, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
Deep commitment to simplifying complex workflows and delivering seamless, reliable user experiences across integrated systems.
Proven experimentation mindset, with experience validating product direction through rapid prototyping, customer feedback, and iterative learning.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, aligning diverse stakeholders and driving progress amidst evolving priorities and external market shifts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate vision, strategy, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and external partners.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable,
and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than
that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline.
Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges
for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $193,500 - $252,625
Zone B: $174,600 - $227,950
Zone C: $161,100 - $210,325
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
