Your Future Team
The Product Security (Marketplace) team is dedicated to safeguarding the Atlassian ecosystem by driving security programs and initiatives for the third-party apps that integrate with Atlassian products. You will have the unique opportunity to empower thousands of external developers through our initiatives and elevate the security posture of thousands of apps in our marketplace. We're looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team who love to drive security programs in the application and platform security space.

As a Senior Product Security Engineer you will provide technical guidance, promote automation, review designs and drive our security teams to equip our app developers with the tools, techniques and methodologies to build secure apps by default. We are looking for a Senior Product Security Engineer who thrives on working with engineering and operations teams to built security programs that can scale across our marketplace.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• 5+ years demonstrated expertise and experience working in security-focused roles

• Experience leveraging AI capabilities applied to security use cases

• Experience with application security, especially web applications

• Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure

• Experience coding in Java, Python, or Go, and at least one scripting language

• An ability to reason about security decisions

• Experience leading projects from start to finish and mentoring other security practitioners

• An ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to engineers who know way more than you about their code

It's great, but not required, if you have:

• Published contributions to the security community

• Presentation experience at industry events

• Experience working with compliance, privacy, IT, networking or related functions

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable,
and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than
that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline.
Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges
for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $190,800 - $249,100

Zone B: $171,900 - $224,425

Zone C: $158,400 - $206,800

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
