Atlassian Technology Sourcing team is growing and as a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager you will be supporting our CTO leadership teams and ExecOps by establishing strategic relationships that can maximize the value between Atlassian and our providers while delivering best-in-class procurement services. Responsibilities
In this role, you'll get to:
Identify, obtain agreement, and lead transformational sourcing projects, following a standard strategic sourcing methodology that maximizes Atlassian's value
Personally lead projects, serving as the primary liaison between Legal, Finance, department teams, project managers and other partners in the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including category analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
Establish relationships across the teams to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters
Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to Identify and launch sourcing projects
Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity
Contribute to implementation and change management of process improvement projects across Atlassian
Mentor partners on procurement practices
Lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs
Minimum Qualifications
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of strategic sourcing experience, with broad knowledge of sourcing software, hardware, and services, running COGs and indirect spend in a fast paced environment.
Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and delivery of complex contracts, with an emphasis in technology related purchases (SaaS, IT Operations, HR, Marketing, Facilities and Finance) and consulting services including experience working with and influencing IT and business leaders along with supplier executives
Along with capabilities with an ability to understand, translate, (and ) refine business cases for successful sourcing / vendor relationships
Experienced negotiation skills in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms for strategic contracts
Ability to present technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats
Teamwork oriented
Experience working globally, working with partners, team members, and suppliers
Expertise across the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing and corporate procurement activities including sourcing strategies, RFP development & analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiations, contract preparation, and review and analysis.
A clear ability to inspire change, handle conflict, bring together different points of view, make decisions, and achieve OKRs
Knowledge of legal and technology related contract terms and conditions
Knowledge of procurement policies and tools.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable,
and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than
that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline.
Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges
for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $129,200 - $172,200
Zone B: $116,200 - $155,000
Zone C: $107,200 - $142,900
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
