Overview

Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Responsibilities

Your future team

Are you passionate about solving Enterprise challenges and delivering solutions for highly technical users? Do concept maps excite you as much as improving UIs?

If so, this role might be right for you!

As a Senior Product Designer in the Admin Experience team, your main focus will be working on the Admin Hub and its integrations with all our products. You'll collaborate with product management and engineering to define problem spaces, develop innovative solutions, and deliver them to our customers. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to our design system.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll:

  • Lead complex and high-impact product design projects that help raise the quality bar for our users - from conceptual models to UI design.

  • Champion design craft and mentor other designers.

  • Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Design, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolio.

  • Conduct user research using various methods and principles to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions.

  • Contribute to our Design System by creating new components, templates, and guidelines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in professional UX/UI product design implementing user-centered design best practices while addressing complex problems.

  • Exceptional visual design skills including expertise in layout strategies, responsive design, data visualization, and motion design.

  • Strong UX-design skillset encompassing designing thinking methods, user research, persona development, concept modelling, flow diagrams, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, etc.

  • Proficiency in iterative design processes: constantly sketching, sharing work, validating with customers, iterating, shipping, and learning.

  • Experience in conducting and applying customer research.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $160,300 - $213,700

Zone B: $144,300 - $192,300

Zone C: $133,000 - $177,400

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.
