You will be part of Atlassian’s Go-To-Market Analytics organization focused specifically on planning strategic initiatives spanning Atlassian’s entire enterprise business. This role will partner with key stakeholders across product, marketing and sales to deliver accurate forecasts for future cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on a variety of product and business problems with a diverse set of cross-functional partners and become a trusted strategic partner through the structure and clarity of your work.

  • Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, time-series analysis, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our business and help solve the business's biggest challenges.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to inform, influence, and execute strategy decisions

  • Identify and measure the success of product efforts through forecasting and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEM field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics, econometrics, computer science, data science)

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Science or related fields

  • Experience applying models to forecast 

  • Proficiency in SQL AND another data manipulation language (e.g. Python, R, Scala)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

  • Experience telling stories with data and familiarity with at least one visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, R-Shiny, Microstrategy, SAP Business Objects, Looker, Power BI)

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts (e.g. regression, clustering, probability, exponential smoothing) and how to apply them to practical questions

  • Experience building machine learning models with emphasis on supervised learning (Naive Bayes, SVM, Regression, KNN, etc)

  • Ability to craft analysis into well-written content

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience with Jupyter Notebook or Databricks

  • Experience applying statistical models to sales data and forecasting pipeline and/or bookings

  • Experience modeling for time series analysis (e.g. exponential smoothing, FB Prophet, LSTM)

  • An understanding of the SaaS business model and key metrics

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $149,000 - $198,700

Zone B: $134,100 - $178,800

Zone C: $123,700 - $164,900

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
