Overview

The Head of Global Alliances will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to build and expand our relationships with GSIs. This role is essential in driving mutual growth and enhancing our global market presence through strategic collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex partnerships and a deep understanding of the GSI ecosystem.

To help our teams work together effectively, this role is a remote position and requires you to be located in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a global alliance strategy to strengthen relationships with existing GSI partners and identify new partnership opportunities.

  • Leadership & Development: Lead a team of Alliance Managers globally, fostering a high-performance culture to achieve business objectives.

  • Partnership Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key GSI partners to drive joint business objectives and mutual success.

  • Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure alignment and integration of GSI strategies with company goals.

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with GSI partners to expand market reach and drive revenue growth.

  • Joint Go-to-Market Initiatives: Develop and oversee joint go-to-market plans, including co-marketing and co-selling activities, to maximize partnership impact.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of alliance strategies and initiatives.

  • Executive Engagement: Facilitate regular executive-level meetings with GSI partners to ensure strategic alignment and address any challenges or opportunities.

  • Innovation & Collaboration: Encourage innovation by leveraging partner capabilities and fostering a collaborative environment that supports joint solution development.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in managing global alliances or partnerships, particularly with GSIs, in the enterprise software industry.

  • Experience leading a team of global alliance manager

  • Highly knowledgeable of the GSI model and the business metrics for this partner ecosystem

  • Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful partnership strategies that drive business growth.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $266,400 - $355,200

Zone B: $239,800 - $319,700

Zone C: $221,100 - $294,800

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
